Rap and Hip Hops origins

Rapping is a form or emceeing. Where a rap musician or artist captivates audiences, by using rhyming lyrics, the projection of flow, and the delivery. It notably sends out a message or portrays a story through the artist method of approach. It's also a form of poetry which is "rapped" along a distinct beat. Rap is distinct from Hip-Hop in terms of how Hip-Hop in general is more of a culture, which incorporates Djing, and rapping. Hip-Hops origins, had begun to arise during the 1970's around New York, where teenagers would gather at block parties in the Bronx. Rapping was stylized over "funk" or "soul" music, whereby early Dj's would try to extend the length of percussive breaks by "scratching" and using turntables. This gave way to the idea of rapping to these beats, and soon rap was born.
